Playing an instrument such as the piano is a great way to help a child with problem solving skills, as well as learn about abstract reasoning, visualization, and spatial relationships. Learning the piano can also be a great source of stability – giving a student a sense of consistency, in a sometimes unstable world. In addition, the whole musical alphabet is laid out before a child, on the piano; therefore, we try to encourage our students to learn and absorb as much musical theory as possible while enrolled in piano lessons.
